250 SCR parts, cleaned, painted and polished

I find that some WD40 to remove the grease. then wash-down with degreaser work best.

We use basic buffing compund and elbow grease. I am not an expert, but this seem to work well on all the aluminum pieces.

For paint, an airbrush kit with a mixture of gloss and flat black to get a nice semi-gloss finish.

We are using an approach for a "Riding Restoration" as Tom Bailey calls it in his book: "Ducati Single First Person", which is a fabulous book with tons of great information about these singles. Tom also has some very helpful information to help with indentifcation, that I have not found anywhere - So, do yourself a favor and google Tom Bailey and get this book ! Here's a pic of the cover:
